70 freeview uk channels is just repeats and repeats , had the 5 stations BBC 1 and 2 and off 1 channel 5 ,and 4.

I've used Netflix for years,I've never seen ads at all, even on the cheap basic plan. The only problem I'm having with Netflix is that they raise prices, and with the basic plan, they lower the resolution so it looks blurry on 4K TVs. Why did Netflix lower the basic plan to 480p resolution? It was 720p in the past. Netflix is insane, They should remove 480p resolution, The only TVs that use 480p resolution are the TVs from the 80s.

I just paid $59.99 doe Hallmark streaming but I don't have cable. I have Roku to watch tv but cannot get it to accept my subscription. How can I watch Hallmark with what I have purchased. This is the worst explanation I’ve ever seen on the differences between DTV with internet the contract plan versus DIRECTV STREAM which is non contract plan. It is not hard to explain but yours is unfortunately confusing for those who don’t know. #1 plan DIRECTV with internet. Has a contract! Don’t get this!!!!! #2 plan DIRECTV STREAM NO CONTRACT!! Crystal clear picture. You don’t have to buy/rent their set top box, you can just stream it on the app or smartv. If you do want the set top tv Gemini device so it’s more like cable, be prepared to pay the aforementioned monthly rental fee.

Yes, this was an initiative of the public service broadcasters (BBC, ITV, C4, C5, S4C) and they have chosen to go with their own proprietary Hbbtv OpApp for implementation. So it does require TV manufacturer agreement (and OS provider agreement if third party) to implement the Freely OpApp in the firmware. Apart from Hisense/VIDAA, it appears TiVo is onboard as well and by all accounts has done a really good job integrating the Freely OpApp with TiVo OS for Vestel products. Could be a real path forward for the TiVo-Vestel partnership to increase market share in the UK. Samsung probably won't be interested. Won't want to lose Tizen OS prominence (and ad revenue). Also remains to be seen whether the non-PSB broadcasters in the UK will join the Freely platform either.

We had the trio with no ads but after the latest price increase, we dropped down to the duo with ads.

I've been on the Disney Bundle trio plan for some time now. I actually could have been grandfathered in to the premium at $18.99, but chose to go the ad route for $14.99 (I grew up in the 60s, so commercials are normal for me).

I had the Trio bundle but when the price increased and the Duo bundle became available I switched to the 19.99 Disney Plus-Hulu duo since I'm not a sports person.

Paramount plus is awful the streaming service is the worst

I got UA-cam TV but I find with all the ads that I don't watch it. It's not worth the ads. Given the price increases it's going to go bye bye. I'm thinking I could watch UA-cam premium instead. I have a large recorded library but I can't watch it whenever I want because sometimes something I want to watch is streaming live. I want to be able to skip the ads but if it is live I can't even if the show was previously recorded because it is recording again, and again.

Wow, so no free movies at all without ads? Half the stuff on there is already pay or rent to view. Glad we didn't sell our DVDs.

So,the thing to do is get DTV stream BYOD. It is month to month with no extra fees. I just switched from 26 years of DTV satellite to DTV stream (I now have giga-fiber internet). I purchased some new, never used, open box CK71-400's off of e-bay, updated them, then hooked them up to the service. Picture quality is a bit better than satellite. The RC82 remote that comes with them is excellent and is back-lit. The experience is very much like satellite. The good thing is I cut by monthly bill in half. The boxes are android based so you can get all kinds of apps off the google play store. I am very pleased with this set up.

I have the direct stream, old ATT at home, and where I work a few months ago they changed from the DirectTV satellite to the stream. I'm assuming it's through the internet and not the one I have. It is horrible. It is constantly buffing, freezing, saying that it's not connected to the internet and other issues. This occurs daily at least once more often several times a day. I do not have this problem with my system.

We just switched from xfinity to direct tv stream. I honestly thought it was going to be a Uverse box and one stream device since we needed 2 devices. I thought uverse was now DTS. I am not a fan. Xfinity is higher and they just keep raising prices, but they have a better user experience and enginers that consider how ppl use their cable devices. This dvr is driving me nuts. You can't extend recording times, the remote only lights up once you press a button, and if a tv show like law and order is set to record new episodes, the dang thing records it on every station at any time an episode is labeled new. The guide doesn't say if a show is new or a repeat until 2 extra clicks in. As a new user trying to get familiar with the channels, you can't see channel numbers unless you use the guide in numeric order vs alpha. So you spend time going thru all the channels to find what you want which takes longer to learn my fav station numbers. On demand isn't as robust. These issues weren't a problem for those I know with uverse. I might cancel, get the Tablo antenna, and just use the stream services I already have. Fyi, DTS now requires a 2yr contract. I was told there is no month to month nor did i see it on the website.

I have DIRECTV both Stream and Satellite, I use the Genie HR54 and I have the new Gemini and I must say, I love everything about both of the services which is why I subscribe to both. Hands down the best video OTA & Stream. If we can only get NFL Sunday Ticket back on residential accounts we will be good. Keep up the good work DIRECTV!

Say goodbye to cable, and hello to endless streaming options! Who needs 200 channels when you can binge-watch all day? Turns out, that gets boring real quick. Hence these bundles from different platforms.😂
